About us.... what can I possibly say about us that could even begin to be an accurate description? Erica and I are first cousins (my mom and her dad are siblings). We are 11 months apart to the day. I am eleven months older, wiser, and slightly more crazy than she. We are both teachers, it's in our blood. We can't do anything else. We've tried. Erica is the closest thing that I have to a sister. In fact, we often refer to ourselves as clones of each other. We are smart, sassy, savvy, creative, conscientious, and clever. We crack ourselves up... as our Facebook friends can attest. I'm not absolutely certain that we really are as funny as we think we are, but no one has been uncharitable enough to burst our bubble yet.
So, we decided to chronicle our journey to distance racing (a.k.a. finishing a race on my own two feet and not in the ambulance in my case). This is our accountability to each other and to all of those who love and support us on our journey. Please enjoy our ramblings, rantings, and musings as we attempt to wrench our bodies into shape and run a half marathon.
